Need to know
A variety of rooms can be hired, some of which date back to the 15th century. The De la Bere Court, in the main house, has a vaulted glass atrium, a private entrance, bar area, toilets and cloakroom. All the necessary gadgets are available: built in PA and music system with iPod dock, drop-down screen, hearing loop and a dramatic lighting system that can colour the white walls purple. The Ellenborough Gallery is a modern converted tithe barn next to the stables, used as an event space. The gallery has white walls, a glass balcony with church pews so extra guests can overlook the ceremony, and space for a buffet meal. Alternatively, host your reception in a marquee (summer Saturdays only), or have an outdoors ceremony, using the stone gazebo. The hotel works closely with the best local suppliers, including florists, photographers, caterers and entertainers. Bridal beauty and makeup packages can be arranged with the spa.
