Mr & Mrs Smith

We arrived at Bellinter House after a wonderful weekend at a friends wedding, ready for some well deserved R&R. Having read the reviews of Bellinter House, we were ready for some highly anticipated food and drink, some gorgeous surroundings and luxey rooms. We werent disappointed! We were given rooms in the converted stables and found a huge bed, plasma screen, gorgeous linens and a well stocked bathroom prepared for some pampering!

We booked into the highly reviewed Eden restaurant on our first of four nights stay and had a wonderful meal despite saying at the start "I'm not sure how much I can manage!" we had made great plans for venturing far and wide for the remaining three nights, but ended up eating in the bar for two nights and a return visit to sample more of the Eden's delightful offerings. Mr Smith even bought the cookbook, such was the standard! We spent our days touring around, walking round the grounds, playing board games in the game room, reading in the library, treating ourselves to some wonderful afternoon teas and all in all availing of the promised R&R!

Did Bellinter deliver? I'd say so....we just have to find another excuse to come and visit!!

If staying at Bellinter House, take the opportunity to go for a ride along the banks of the Boyne with the handsome young Anthony Lowry, whose stables (http://www.bachelorslodge.com/) are but 20 minutes from BH.

Didn't venture out but just wanted to say that the staff were amazing, 5-star service; the most welcoming and accommodating staff we have ever experienced in a hotel!
