The Guestbook

We loved Liverpool, it was one of the friendliest cities we have visited. Not only did we enjoy the Tate and Walker Art Galleries, but we sampled some of the best coffee in the UK. The Green Cauldron Coffeehouse across the road from the hotel imports and then roasts its own coffee beans from a plantation in Australia. For coffee addicts and geeks, cross the road as soon as you wake up to be transported to coffee heaven. And I have to agree with another guestbook writer, the blueberry pancakes, mine with bacon and maple syrup, were to die for. The Moose, just round the corner from the Town Hall, was our preferred place for breakfast. Thank you, Liverpool.

Lovely room, great location. Only disappointment was the shower was rather feeble.

For an amazing American/Canadian-style breakfast, try 'The Moose' coffee shop just around the corner. The blueberry pancakes are delicious.

Fantastic location and lovely big comfy rooms. A short walk to the Tate Modern and the new museum of Liverpool, which are really worth a visit.

There is a great Japanese restaurant just around the corner from the hotel, called Etsu. We have eaten there three times now and the food has been consistently excellent each time. It's also very reasonably priced.

Blakes restaurant (www.harddaysnighthotel.com/blakes/-restaurant.html) is absolutely out of this world. Would recommend that everyone try it.

A 'must' is a visit to the Panoramic Bar in the west towers in Brook Street. It's a sky bar on the 34th floor of the building and has the most fantastic views of Liverpool by day or by night. Oh, and the cocktails are fab too!

I would really recomend a great club named "Heebie Jeebies" somewhat of a Liverpool institution with great outdoor courtyard and multiple dance floors.

The Restaurant that I would totally recommend is the The Living Room in Victoria Street, what a fab experience it was.

The Public House that i would recommend is the The Pump House at Albert Dock,

The Bar & Grill restaurant on Brunswick Street is a lovely spot for drinks or a meal at both lunchtime and in the evening. The restaurant is minimalist and contemporary; relaxed by day, full of atmosphere at night, and the tables are nicely spaced, so there's privacy too. There's no dress code, but in Liverpool the girls are always glam!
