Mr & Mrs Smith (£19.99) is another of the same breed – its three guides are all artful pictures and gorgeous graphics.  Hotels are grouped under various guises and it aims to offer the kind of word-of-mouth recommendations you would get from a friend.  Unlike Hip Hotels, establishments pay for inclusion, but each one has to adhere to regular inspections, so you can count on standards being fairly consistent.
