Pros: The reviews, written by journalists and arty types rather than 'clipboard Charlie inspectors', are often insightful and fun to read. They're also useful in picking out best rooms and give tips on where to eat and drink.


Cons: The website is primarily geared to taking bookings (again, it's all to do with commission), though phone numbers of hotels are given if you want to go down the direct route.
