In the know
- Our favourite rooms
- Quite why the man in question would need one when he lives barely a block away is unclear, but the Presidential Suite, which is the size of a house and swaddled in luxury, is certainly worthy of the name. If you don’t have $10,000 to fling around, we’d suggest opting for one of the eight sienna-hued Metropolitan Suites – spacious, luxurious, and ideal for families as they adjoin the Superior Double rooms.
- Packing tips
- Bring all your favourite political-thriller DVDs – All the Presidents Men. The West Wing, etc – you're practically staying on the set.
- Also
- The St Regis’ cyber-savvy butlers are all equipped with BlackBerrys so you can email requests when you’re out and about in DC.
Current offers
- Smith card offer
- Either two glasses of champagne or two signature Bloody Marys

Abounding with vintage glamour and old-world grandeur, the St Regis Washington DC sits a skip away from the White House and the attractions of the US capital. Built in 1926, but brought bang up to date with a multi-million dollar refurb, a Claridge’s-inspired lobby makeover and the addition of an Alain Ducasse restaurant, this boutique hotel exudes class from every keyhole.
