I recommend Pebble Beach restaurant on the beach – good value fish and seafood.
I would recommend pre-booking a local bike ride (don’t be put off when you arrive if there aren’t many bikes on display – loads more available). We were given a coast ride route that can take you all the way to Lymington (22 mile round trip). For a bit of variety (and stay next to the seas) I would follow the route to Milford on Sea, then turn right off the main road (which would otherwise take you to Lymington) and head down to Keyhaven (following signs towards Hurst Castle), there is a big loop along the coast, partly walking, and includes access to Hurst Castle. Hurst Castle juts into the seas and creates the narrowest part of the Solent. On the way back try walking along the cliff top from Milford on Sea rather than inland on the B road. Journey time: approx 3 hours
