Tarifa is chocka with Italian restaurants: for pizza from a wood-fired oven, La Trattoria de Tarifa, on Paseo de la Alameda (+34 956 682 225) is a five-minute walk from the hotel. Ciriaco, 200 metres down the road from the hotel on Calle Huerta del Rey (+34 956 684 085), also serves local cuisine. Small and friendly, Rosa Negra on Coronel Moscardo 4, in front of the Post Office, serves the best meat in town. The best tapas bars are on Calle Guzman el Bueno: La Posada, El Pasillo and Los Melli. Worth getting out of bed for
Whale-watching (or dolphin-spotting, at the very least) can be arranged through the hotel. Surfing, windsurfing, kiting can also be arranged, as can horse-riding excursions.
