One glimpse of the spread of homemade cakes and drinks available for guests to enjoy in these stylish Indonesian-accented surroundings, and that’s it, these sybarites were sold. Les Cascades de Bantry Bay is a place where you'll find your own wow-factor. And then some.

Need to know

Rooms: Six, including three luxury suites.
Rates: R1,440–R2,360, including breakfast and all taxes.
Check-out: 11am. As the hotel is almost always fully booked, this is usually the latest staff can manage.
Facilities: An ornamental infinity pool, a very large saltwater pool and a freshwater infinity pool. Flatscreen plasma/satellite TVs, DVD/CD.
Also: No pets. No smoking in the bedrooms.

Food & drink

Top table: Thanks to the extraordinary wind-free position in Bantry Bay, dining here is an outdoors event throughout summer, and all the tables share the fantastic view.
Last orders: Lunch is served between 1pm and 4pm; dinner is always at 8pm.
Room service: The kitchen can rustle up salads, sandwiches, cheese and meat platters, olives, nuts and so on between 1pm and 11pm.
Hotel bar: The latest drinks are served is 11pm.

Children: Children can share with parents if booked into a Superior family room in the Main Lodge. There’s an additional charge of R100 for children younger then seven; sevens and over are charged at R400. Babysitting is R50 an hour (minimum 4 hours). More…
