In the know
- Our favourite rooms
- Waka Gangga’s 10 glass-wrapped Lanai bungalows each offer billowy four-posters and enchanting 270-degree views, but go for one of the northernmost, as these are the closest to the terraced rice paddies and therefore afford the most covetable vistas from their wooden sun decks. If you’re travelling with friends or family, book one of the new two-bedroom Gangga villas.
- Packing tips
- All the weighty, worthy tomes you’ve always meant to read – Waka Gangga’s ideal for leafing through literature on the decking or by the pool.
- Also
- Saddle up on the sand – the local stables can provide horses for atmospheric rides along the black-sand beach. The more mechanically minded are free to borrow bicycles.
