Superb place, the suite is absolutely massive, the other two rooms looked big too. With only three rooms the lounge/dining room/swimming pool ends up being practically your own. Only a few minutes to the beach for sunsets and numerous seafood warungs (huge king prawns particularly good). Close to the airport, an ideal place to arrive after the flight.
Absolutely brilliant. There are only three rooms and for the first six days of our stay we were the only people there. The hotel did absolutely everything to make sure we were looked after but were also very discreet. Highly recommended.
If you're looking for the perfect hideaway and don't mind travelling to the other side of the world to do so, then The Shaba is the place for you. We were fortunate enough to be the only ones staying when we booked in December 2008, so we had the place to ourselves. The staff are very good at being discreet and once they work out whether you're the demanding type or not, they tailor their presence to your needs. We hardly saw ours save for meal times, so it really did feel like the place was our own villa! The nearby Jimbaran beach (10 minute walk west, behind the Intercontinental) has superb beachside fish restaurants and the Teba Café (+62 (0)361 703156) comes highly recommended!
