All meals are provided on site, which is just as well, as the only way you’d get to eat out in these parts is if you catch your own dinner.
Worth getting out of bed for
Tauana sits on the border of two of Brazil’s most beautiful national parks, so there’s plenty of opportunity for trekking, biking and gazing about in wonderment. July to November's whale watching season, and also the best time of year for scuba diving. Tauana arranges kayak trips through the mangroves and fishing excursions with the locals, too. If you’re prepared to make the two-hour drive, Monte Pascoal National Park marks the first land sighted by the Portuguese when they landed in Brazil in 1500, and is also home to a Pataxó Indian settlement.
