- Our favourite rooms
- We love the larger, lower level Courtyard rooms, which have a private grey slate-walled courtyard with a hammock. Smaller rooms on the upper level offer a balcony instead. All are light, clean-lined and contemporary, with king-size beds, black-tiled showers and a dinky white Corian kitchenette. A sleek palette of white, grey and chocolate brown adds to the modern yet understated feel, with timber bedheads, black sheepskins and bespoke furniture.
- Packing tips
- Accessories with attitude: Limes is all about drop-dead gorgeous design details. Take some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper and haven't joined the party (the rooftop tunes can travel).
- Also
- For just AU$12, you can watch a film under the stars at Limes’ open-air rooftop cinema, perched on comfy contemporary poufs and taking in the illuminated city skyline views. There are usually two nightly screenings, several times a week; reserve a ticket in advance or buy on on the night from the bar, where you can also order drinks and tapas.

- There’s no restaurant at Limes, but it’s in the Valley (Fortitude Valley), an inner-city neighbourhood packed with some of Brisbane's most interesting cafés, bars and restaurants. There's a Valley girl in all of us.
- Dress code
- Fashion forward - at least something new season. No thongs (flip flops), singlets or sneakers if you want to get into the rooftop bar (or ever, really).
- Last orders
- The bar sees action from 5pm till midnight Monday to Thursday, and from 3pm Friday to Sunday.
- Room service
- Available 5pm–10pm, including light meals such as butternut pumpkin soup, asparagus, grilled haloumi and rocket salad, or a heartier Limes beef burger and chips. In-room breakfasts (ordered in from local café Cirque) are on offer until 10.30am.
- Hotel bar
- Limes’ rooftop champagne and cocktail bar is open to guests and locals, and is an established destination for the city’s bright young things. Warm year-round weather means it’s perfect for Balearic-style partying, with colour-morphing LED lights, all-white tables and chairs and net-covered cabanas for lounging. Pop up for a sunset fruit martini, or snack from the extensive bar menu, and socialise with Brisvegas’s pretty people backed by house, soul and chill-out tunes, and live DJs on Sundays. Smoking is allowed on the upper mezzanine.
