The Soniat Hotel was a historic gem in an otherwise rainy New Orleans We stayed in Room 28 which was a spacious suite with a balcony overlooking a quiet block on Chartres Street The Soniat staff was friendly and attentive As recommended by the Smiths we enjoyed the daily breakfast of biscuits and they did not disappoint While enjoying the serenity inside the hotel we could walk to any of the restaurants and attractions within the french quarter I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans
