This push-the-boat-out retreat brings a few large drops of St Tropez to the Tuscan coast, and no-one does glamour quite like the Italians. The striking modern building sits in the tree-lined streets of refined Roma Imperiale, inhabited by stylish Italians sporting a Dulux colour chart of tans. The roof terrace is where the cool kids are. It’s open-plan, with oversized lampshades, a green marble façade, wooden decking and wow-factor views out to sea. Pristine lawns surround the hotel, and there’s a gravel forecourt where you’ll find every kind of bike you might want to borrow (girls’, boys’, basket at the front, trike with basket at the back).
