Hotel restaurant
Hotel Brick boasts two restaurants: casual bistro Lonchería Olivia and leather banquette-lined Brasserie La Moderna – both helmed by celebrated chef Richard Sandoval. At Lonchería Olivia, start the day with huevos rancheros or chilaquiles (crisp tortillas laced with salsa and topped with the meat of your choice). For lunch or dinner, it’s Angus burgers served on brioche, Serrano ham and goat’s cheese pizza and lasagne with basil oil. At the slightly more formal brasserie, choose from classic French fare such as onion soup, tuna tartare, beef bourguignon and crème brulee.
- Dress code Indulge your inner Amélie and don dresses and scarlet lipstick at Brasserie La Moderne; open linen shirts and dark denim for Mr Smith.
- Top table Head for a romantic spot on the brasserie terrace, overlooking the pool. Or pick one of the black parasol-topped round tables outside at Lonchería Olivia, ideal for group dining.
- Last orders La Moderna serves dinner until 11pm on Monday and Tuesday, and until 1am all other days. Olivia’s open until 11.30pm Sunday to Wednesday; 1am Thursday to Saturday. The Lobby Bar serves until 11pm on weekdays, 2am on weekends; Bar Brick’s open until 2am.
- Room service Sandwiches, pizza and salads are available 24 hours a day.

Hotel bar
Taste the Martini Brick, infusing Chambord and lychee, in the Lobby Bar. Citron-yellow chairs, a distressed chesterfield and a mannequin lamp add a touch of kitsch. Sip a Bricktini, a concoction of basil, lime, vodka and berry coulis in Bar Brick. Soundtracked by lounge and jazz, this late-night joint is meant for kicking back on the ruby-red and black curved couches. The rooftop Green Terrace, open 24 hours a day, has an honour bar with make-it-yourself cocktail recipes.

In the know
Our favourite rooms
The two-storey PH Lofts are honeymoon hotspots. Their private terraces boast roll-top bathtubs and flatscreen TVs. Indoors, we love the houndstooth chairs, tufted headboards and rich wood panelling. If you're into alfresco dining and bathing with a breeze, choose the deco-tiled Orrin Suite, which sits atop the entrance to the hotel. The marble-clad bathroom opens on to a terrace which can be set-up for dinner and provides the perfect perch for a nightcap.
Packing tips
Bring your pup, they’ll love the beds, treats and walks around the neighbourhood, and pack your favourite bath salts for soaking in the roll-top tubs.
