Sugarcube sanctuary

Fields of gold

In the south-east of the Cyclades’ famous party isle, Villa Davinia showcases a quieter side to Mykonos. Family and friends can gather to enjoy a huge amount of outdoor space, a beach down the road and total privacy. There are three bedrooms in the main house, with an extra two in self-contained apartments (helpful if you want to sequester noisier travelling companions). It’s Hellenic heaven, with all the whitewashed walls, sugarcube structures, blue shutters, marble floors and beamed ceilings you could hope for. And if you do want to seek out that legendary nightlife, it’s only a 20-minute ride away.
