Created by the design-savvy duo behind Trevose Harbour House, coastal villa Samphire Studio is nestled among fishermen’s cottages in the characterful ‘downalong’ area of St Ives, with pretty Porthgwidden cove just a few steps away. Flaunting a rich-green colour scheme, the interiors are a masterclass in mid-century design, showcasing an Eero Saarinen dining table, re-upholstered 1970s chairs and pebble tables by Lucian Ercolani. The whitewashed walls are decorated with the work of local artists, providing a snapshot of St Ives’ thriving scene. If you find yourself fancying a change from the beach, you need only step outside, where you’ll find Cornish palms swaying in your own botanical garden.
