Marina O'Loughlin
Clandestine critic
Marina has been restaurant critic for London Metro for 10 years, totally anonymously despite a baying mob of chefs ready to pay a ransom for her hide. She is an obsessive devotee of eating out, everything from the greasiest of spoons to the hautest of the haute and is one of the few people to have made it to El Bulli more than once. Her monthly food and travel column for Olive magazine, ‘Postcard from…’, sees her eating her way round destinations as diverse as Macau, Merano, Ludlow and Las Vegas. As an embarrassingly typical Taurean, luxury and comfort are very, very important to her.
