Bill Granger
Cook and café king
Self-taught cook Bill Granger opened his first Sydney restaurant, Bills in Darlinghurst, at 22. Fast forward a few years and you can now also enjoy Bill’s relaxed, joyful approach to food in his Japan and London, or turn to his books, articles and television series for inspiration when cooking at home. Based with his wife and three daughters in Notting Hill and Sydney, Bill and his family are no strangers to travelling. To feel at home wherever they are, the Australian likes his surroundings to be casual, simply elegant and most of all full of warmth. It’s the laid-back approach to life of a man who knows how to live and probably the recipe for his enduring popularity.
