Aleka Lieven
On-the-go strategist
Aleka is a globetrotting strategy consultant who spends a scary amount of time away from home, from souped-up B&Bs in Northamptonshire to design hotels in Scandinavia. A former Tokyoite, she moonlights as a columnist for a Japanese style bible, so knows there’s more to hotels than the ‘convenient plug sockets and fast WiFi’ combination that work demands. Splitting her life between two cities that are 6,000 miles apart (London is the other one) means she’s tried almost every airline, packing technique and in-flight meal out there. Which makes her particularly appreciative of an amazing hotel at the other end of the journey.
