Samujana’s Five-Bedroom Villa Plus residences are an attractive crew – each minimal yet striking, with clean-cut modernist architecture, displayed beside a glittering blue infinity pool. They’re magnanimous hosts too, and each brings something different to the party: a badminton court here; a spa treatment room there; a restful internal garden; a private art collection. Whichever you choose, you’ll find sociable spaces indoors and out: barbecue salas, TV rooms with giant screens – and the occasional private cinema with a 3D projector. Paradise isle Koh Samui flaunts its green, beachy, beauty all around you, which seems unbeatable; yet, with its all-out luxury and sun-kissed setting, Samujana somehow enhances it.

First Glance

  • Displaying the sort of modernist architecture (the work of Gary Fell of Gfab architects) you’d expect to see cantilevered out from the Hollywood Hills than Koh Samui’s tropical paradise, each of Samujana’s villas is ultra modern, with open covered terraces and window walls that invite the outside in. All have views of the lush grounds, the Gulf of Thailand beyond and the uninhabited island of Koh Matlang.
  • This lavish stay has 2,899sq m of space to play in, including expansive grounds.
  • Each villa has bright, open-plan living areas to choose from.
  • An open-plan dining area in the lounge has a long table and seating for all guests.
  • Each villa has a fully-equipped kitchen (except for villas 1, 20 and 26, which each have two). Some villas have a wine cellar, others have special wine fridges.
  • Most villas have a separate TV room, or a large flatscreen in the living space.
  • In addition to the ensuite bathrooms, all villas have a powder room (two in some cases).
  • Villas 1, 4, 26 and 30 each have a private cinema, some with a 3D projector.
  • All villas have a state-of-the-art private gym.
  • While decor is minimal and cream-hued in all villas, each stay has something that makes it unique. Villa 1 has an additional games room and badminton court; Villa 4 has a Kinesis wall; Villa 6 has a spa treatment room for yoga sessions or pampering (at an extra cost), a split-level pool deck and a sun deck that converts into an entertainment venue; Villa 20 has space for badminton and boules, and table tennis; Villa 26 has an internal garden and a bar; and Villa 30 has a private art collection to muse over.
