Lashings of natural light, ornate ceilings, Napoleon III furniture, Damascene brocade hangings, plush carpets, gilded bronze sculptures, antique curios, vivid velvet sofas: these are just some of the treats awaiting you within the Prestige Suites, which span 70–85sq m and include a romantic bedroom, a large dressing room, a lounge area with a dining table and a city-surveying balcony. Survey the Rue de Cirque and the Grand Palais from the comfort of your suite. An in-room iPad means you can set your room’s lighting, temperature and mood; each of these rooms has a king-size bed (or twins) and a wine cellar or private bar, stocked with treasures from French vineyards. The ensuite bathroom is kitted out in Carrara marble, with a bath tub and a walk-in shower. There’s also a TV, DVD player, iPod dock, games console, minibar and signature bath products; WiFi is free. A baby cot (free for under-threes) or an extra bed (€100 a night for under-12s or €150 a night for guests 12-and-older) can be added on request.
