These rooms rest in the eaves of the hotel’s roof; as such, they have magical city views of ramshackle rooftops, the Sacré-Cœur, and the ornate Villa Frochot. Retro in style, with handy modern tech (high-speed WiFi, ambient lighting, a Nespresso coffee-machine), rooms have geometric and textured wallpapers, marble and mahogany furnishings, brass trimmings and bespoke tiles, all carefully hand-picked by designer Dorothée Meilichzon. A queen-size bed has a cloth headboard and decadent satin sheets (personalised, no less) and the ensuite has a walk-in rainforest shower. A minibar-cum-actual bar is stocked with pre-shaken bottles of the Experimental Cocktail Club’s most-beloved wares, and each room has an HD flatscreen TV, Revo radio, VoIP phone, climate control, free bottled water and house bath products; a cot can be added on request.
