If you want to know more about that framed Isaac Newton letter on the wall or why that lamp is shaped like a penny, download the hotel’s augmented-reality app and let your education begin.
At the hotel
Free WiFi throughout, bicycles to borrow, gym, riverside garden. In rooms: TV with casting abilities, fridge, tea and coffee kit, and Malin + Goetz bath products.
Our favourite rooms
For the biggest balcony, go for room 301 and watch the River Cam drift past. Tall people may want to avoid the sloping ceilings of the rooms on the third floor.
Packing tips
Boater hats and striped blazers to look good while out punting (provided you don’t fall in), an inquisitive, contemplative look and a thirst for knowledge.
Also
Two categories have ADA-approved rooms for disabled guests: Graduate Doubles and Graduate Kings.
Pet‐friendly
Pooches are welcome – there’s a nightly fee of £35 per pet, not applicable for guide dogs. See more pet-friendly hotels in Cambridge.
Children
All ages are welcome; under-17s stay for free. Some room categories have two queen-size beds that are ideal for families, and there are rooms with twin beds. Please contact our Smith travel team if you would like to add children to your booking.
Sustainability efforts
The sustainability-loving chef goes to great lengths to minimise waste and get creative with seasonal ingredients in the kitchen, and he’s got a thing about innovative, planet-friendly packaging, too. Single-use plastic is minimised and local suppliers are used wherever possible.
