El Mirador (aka ‘the Lookout’) is so-called because all the bedroom walls are studded with windows, letting in plenty of sunshine and offering guests 360° views of Cortijo’s red rooftops and the surrounding hills. Located on the second floor, you need to climb a steep flight of stairs to reach this room, before you emerge into 19th-century splendour, with exposed wooden beams across high ceilings, vintage dark-wood furnishings and a Spanish-tiled floor. The bathroom is on the mezzanine floor (just below the bedroom) and features a freestanding roll-top bathtub, a large walk-in shower, bathrobes and La Chinata toiletries. The bath is alongside a large window, overlooking the countryside, so you can sightsee while you soak.
