Luxury holidays in Shoreditch

When to go

Even when the sun’s dimmed there’s something shiny to attract you here. In summer people spill onto bar terraces on Hoxton Square; winter brings warming club nights; and the Queen of Hoxton’s roof terrace changes theme with the season.

Getting there

  • Planes

From Heathrow, ride the express train to Paddington, then hop on the Tube’s Circle or Hammersmith & City Line and ride to Liverpool Street station; central Shoreditch is around a 10-minute walk from there. From Gatwick, ride the express train to Victoria, hop on the Tube to Euston the change onto the Northern Line for a few stops to Old Street station. By taxi, either airport is a 90-minute ride.
  • Automobiles

Shoreditch is just outside the Congestion Charge zone, but driving in the city can be a harrowing affair. London’s transport links are better than grumbling locals would have you believe and Shoreditch is well-placed for zipping around by Tube. You can easily hire a car at London’s major airports, but parking it is a less straightforward affair.
