Luxury holidays in Bình Thuan Province

It’s the Bình Thuan Province's coast that lures people to this corner of the country: the beaches are golden and generally quieter, and alongside ravishing sunsets, you’ll be treated to soothing panoramas of traditional fishing boats heading out to find fresh catches for flavourful Vietnamese meals. And, if you travel east along the coast you’ll see Kê Gà lighthouse, sacred Tà Cú Mountain and land at the lively resort town Mũi Né and Phan Thiet, famed for its fish sauce.

When to go

Spring is a good time to visit before things start to swelter in May. The end of the year tends to be rainier too.

Getting there

  • Planes

Fly into Tan Son Nhat International in Ho Chi Minh City and the province is a four-hour drive away. Alternatively land at Cam Ranh International – it’s further away at a five-hour drive, but the coastal scenery along the way is spectacular.
  • Trains

The North-South railway runs from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh, and one of the stops is at Bình Thuận station, so this makes an easy diversion on your epic cross-country journey.
  • Automobiles

Vietnam’s wilder parts don’t make for easy driving, but luckily, all hire cars come with a driver, so you won’t have to navigate them yourself. Just sit back and watch the world go beautifully by.
