Luxury holidays in Berowra Waters

Encompassing waterways of the twisty, tranquil Hawkesbury River – 40 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD – Berowra Waters is technically an outer suburb of Northern Sydney but feels remote enough that it could be much further north. Remote enough, indeed, to have attracted privacy-seeking couple Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton, who live in the area. The Berowra Waters Ferry, a toll-free car ferry, connects the east bank to the west bank of this Hawkesbury River tributary, with winding roads ascending uphill on both sides.

When to go

Temperatures are fairly pleasant all year round, with the hottest months being January, February and March when the mercury rarely drops below 18 degrees centigrade.
