Luxury holidays in Cuernavaca
A long-standing favourite with international high-flyers, Cuernavaca has plenty of history as a go-to Mexican getaway. City slickers have been escaping to the verdant Morelos mountains since the 7th century – you can check out the remnants of their ancient country pads at the archaeological sites of Teopanzolco and Xochicalco. The winding city streets are filled with covetable cultural treasures: not to be missed are Diego Rivera’s murals in the Palace of Cortés and the Robert Brady Museum’s collection of curiosities.
When to go
Temperatures hold steady throughout the year between 20 and 30 degrees. The dry season is between November and April, and you’ll start to see showers from May onwards (expect heavy downpours in July).
