  The town’s closest international airports are in Madrid and Seville; the former is just over a four-hour drive south along the Ruta de la Plata Highway (A66), but Seville is the closer option, an hour's drive north along the same road.

  A car will come in handy while you’re staying in Monesterio, and there are plenty of rental booths at both Madrid and Seville airports, the town is fairly small and the wider region is worth exploring.
