When to go

Crowds of tourists dissipate from October to December. There are balmy temperatures all-year round, but tropical storms shower down from June to November, when hurricanes have been known to strike.

Getting there

• Planes

  There are no non-stop flights from the US or UK. Melville Hall Airport services connecting flights on LIAT and Seaborne Airlines, and the airport is a one-hour drive from the resort.

• Automobiles

  Hire a car in order to fully explore the island. Avis (www.avis.com) is a reputable car-hire option. Roads are paved and smooth, but not brightly lit at night. If you’d rather leave the driving to someone else, the resort has a car with driver available for day excursions.
