Spring and autumn are the best times to visit. Summer is just as popular, but it’s worth knowing that Calistoga can be one of the hottest places in the Napa Valley.

    The closest airport is Charles M Schulz Sonoma County Airport, a 30-minute drive from Calistoga. It’s a small airport, but well served by flights from LAX, San Diego, Denver and Portland. Oakland and San Francisco International are both within a two-hour drive.

    The car is king in California, and the wine valley is no different. Having your own set of wheels will make getting around much easier.
