Luxury holidays in Vallée de Joux

Vallée de Joux, in Switzerland’s Canton of Vaud, is a horloger’s heaven, where your neighbours are world-class watchmakers, like Audemars Piguet and Breguet. Stereotypically Swiss – with snow-capped summits, adrenaline-fuelled activities and fromage festivals – the Vallée has Alpine appeal beyond its time-keeping traditions. Come summertime, the verdant valley is your pastoral playground: follow forest trails or lap up Lake Joux views. And, pass the time year-round with a glass (or bottle) from Vaud’s vineyards, which are some of the best in the country.

When to go

For snowy peaks and all things Alpine, visit Vallée de Joux between December and March. In spring and summer, take in the verdant views on hilly hiking trails.
