What are your favorite "smug offices”?
The terrace at Sunset Tower in Los Angeles. It's one of our favorite hotels on the planet.
What's the most off-the-grid travel experience you've had lately?
Twin Farms in Vermont, which was totally isolated and such a treat. We associate off the grid with a place that really allows you to unplug, and that's exactly what we were able to do here.
Akin to Super Bowl winners saying, "I'm going to Disneyland!" after the big game, what's the one destination you immediately think of as a reward after a big launch or product release?
The spa at the Mayflower Inn & Spa is literally the most beautiful spa we've ever seen. It is so relaxing and just a quick trip out of the city. The perfect place to reward yourself.
Finish this sentence: I would switch to a middle seat for _____________.
The chance to board first! Waiting in line to board the plane at the airport is one of our least favorite things about travel.
Do you have any favorite travel hacks?
We love extra legroom seats but sometimes it can be way overpriced. If you wait until the night before and call they sometimes waive the fee.
What are your thoughts on out-of-office messages? Leave one? Don't leave one? Keep it simple? Make it poetic?
Leave one and keep it simple - and make sure it's automated to only send to people once, so that the same people don't keep getting your away message.
Do you have a go-to vacation emoji?
Palm trees and martinis!
Do you have a favorite foodie destination? Or one that you dream of visiting one day?
Blue Hill Stone Barns. It is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been and the food is unreal. It's truly a special experience that is worth every penny (which isn't always the case).
Borrowing from a common question on your site, what's the new potato in travel?
Not checking bags! Pack light - vacation is about experience. You don't need nearly as much as you think.
