Amid the vineyards of northern Santorini, Vinsanto Villa is at the top of the Vino Houses trio of traditional Cycladic dwellings. There’s a view out to sea, naturally (complete with that famous sunset), as well as plenty of mountain scenery and, of course, a blue and white church. The villa’s curved interiors are mostly white with splashes of colour: cerulean shutters, patterned ceramic sinks, terracotta pots and the like. The concierge is on hand to whip up organic breakfasts (with fruit and veg from the gardens) that make a perfect start to days out in the vineyards, on volcanic beaches or cruising around the caldera.
