Rome, Italy

Refined Roman residence

Edge of the Eternal City

Regal and retro in equal measure, Villanocetta is a lavish retreat offering guests the best of both worlds: a grand country home that’s just minutes by car from Rome. Half the bedrooms overlook the Valle dei Casali nature reserve, which, combined with the Villa Doria Pamphili parkland on your doorstep, creates a bucolic setting just outside of the city centre. There are six suites, each with handmade Italian bedlinen and towels, and the communal areas have every recreation covered (a round of pool, reading by the fire, sipping Italian wines from the cellar) – but most of your time will probably be spent out in the rose-scented gardens, seeking shade under the palms or sunbathing by the pool.
