  • Thick Balinese jungle surrounds Villa Sungai, an expansive, wood- and marble-lined, French-colonial-style residence covering 3,380sq m. This private hideaway is perched on high, beneath the village temple, overlooking the Ayung River and lush green surroundings.
  • The open-plan living room has furnishings in white and khaki with teak accents and cream-coloured terrazzo flooring. The vaulted alang-alang ceilings add a traditional touch. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors provide direct access to the pool and terrace, and can be left open to let the sweetly-scented breeze in.
  • There’s a fully-equipped modern kitchen; however, guests are unlikely to use it, as the chef does all the cooking.
  • There's a laundry room, but it's only used by housekeeping staff. .
  • To form a four- to six-bedroom residence, this villa can interconnect with sister property Sungai Gold.

  • Canggu is 20 minutes away by car, and Seminyak is 30 minutes away by car.
  • Temples and super surf breaks can be found at Tanah Lot, a 30-minute drive away.
