A short drive from Palma, Villa Havana in Mallorca is a stylish tribute to the Cuban capital. A pair of architects have restored this grand residence to the grandeur of its glory days, when it was the home of a design-minded general. Huge windows and high ceilings form the backdrop to art deco details, such as original floral or geometric tiles, wicker chairs and hanging lamps. Each of the bedrooms in this hillside hideaway has an ensuite bathroom, king-size bed and dreamy decor (we particularly love the antique linen headboards). The home has a huge kitchen, perfect for cooking for a crowd – and there’s a pine-shaded kitchen out in the grounds, as well as a palm-tree-lined pool.
