The neutral interiors boast traditional elegance and modern swagger, with natural materials and chic styling alongside sculptures and ceramics sourced from local artisans. But if there’s one thing to coax you outside, it’ll be the cool blue pool, sitting on a terrace overlooking hills rolling down to the sea. In the evenings you can spark up the barbecue and gather around the firepit, or eat out instead – Mougins is a gastro capital of the region, which says a lot when the neighbours include Cannes and Grasse.

  • All are 20-30sq m in size.
  • The master bedroom is on the ground floor, secluded from the rest of the villa and with views to the coast. It has an exposed-beam ceiling, and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, walk-in shower and twin sinks.
  • The other four bedrooms are on the lower ground floor, with glass doors leading out to the pool terrace and gardens
  • Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a private ensuite, with twin sinks and a bath with an overhead shower.

  • Mougins is a fairytale hilltop town just minutes from the Côte d’Azur. It’s a long-time celeb magnet, drawing in the likes of Dior, Piaf and Picasso over the years.
  • This is a prime spot for exploring the French Riviera, 10 to 15 minutes from both yachters’ favourite Cannes and perfume-capital Grasse. On a day trip, you might choose St Tropez (an hour and a half away), Monaco, or the market town of Antibes.
  • Nice Airport is 30 kilometres (30 minutes’ drive) away. Private transfers can be arranged for €100 each way.
  • Nice is connected to major cities in France by the high-speed TGV train – it’s six hours to Paris.
