In the grounds of Thyme hotel’s glorious Cotswolds estate, The Tallet gives guests the best of both worlds: access to a boutique hotel (and its fabulous facilities) but with the privacy of your own home. The honey-hued cottage has three bedrooms, a living area, and a pretty courtyard to take things outside when the weather’s warm enough. Head to the Tithe Barn or the Swan for dinner and if you'd rather have drinks mixed for you, visit the Baa – yes, that’s really its name – for excellent cocktails.

  • The nearest rail station is a 25-minute drive away in Charlbury.
  • Cheltenham is the closest big town, 45 minutes from the cottage – and the rest of the Cotswold golden villages are on your doorstep.
  • To reach Bath, allow an hour and 20 minutes.
