And breathe… It’s time to recharge at the Great Escape, one of the flawlessly designed abodes at The Lakes by Yoo (we're talking Bulthaup kitchen, Gaggenau appliances, B&B Italia furniture and Tom Dixon lighting). The calm waters, rolling meadows and rich woodlands (not to mention your own hot tub and nearby spa) of this countryside retreat induce away-from-everything day dreams – but there’s plenty to keep you busy here, should you want it to. Paddle board, canoe or kayak in the lakes, fish for trout, pike, perch and bream, or observe your young ones launching themselves (or yourself, if you’re so inclined) into the abyss on a zipwire. In summer, the terrace makes the perfect sundowner spot; in winter, cosy up with a mulled wine or hot chocolate by the log fire. Note There's a minimum stay of seven nights. For weekend bookings there's a minimum stay of two nights.
