Set apart from the heady revelry of Ibiza’s coasts, Can Cactus is a serene mountaintop escape. The house – and its many terraces – is surrounded by verdant forest and the San Lorenzo valley, with the Mediterranean in the distance. It’s a classic Ibizan retreat, all pure-white walls, deep-blue pool and impeccably designed interiors. When you’re ready to come down from your retreat on high and venture out for the night, head to the bars in nearby Santa Gertrudis, which is also great for morning strolls. The nearest beach is a short drive away on the east coast, perfect for soaking up alabaster-hued sands and turquoise seas. If you’d rather hide out in the forest, the casa is primed for exploring Ibiza’s peaceful side.

  • The master bedroom is a large double, on the same level as the pool, with a bath and a separate shower room. The bath is a large, freestanding affair in the middle of the bedroom. The bedroom has a private terrace overlooking the valley and the pool.
  • The second bedroom, another large double, has a private terrace and small garden overlooking the pool and valley. There’s a bathroom is next door (but not ensuite) with a large shower.
  • The third bedroom has a double bed, and a private terrace with views of the valley. It shares its bathroom with the fourth bedroom: it has a shower and large, custom designed bathtub.
  • The fourth bedroom, at the back of the house, has a double bed and an especially roomy wardrobe.
  • In the fifth bedroom, near the kitchen, there’s a double bed and an open-plan ensuite bathroom with a shower.
