Jane Lerner
Adventurous eater
Twenty years ago, Jane purchased a round-the-world plane ticket for a trip (with offshoot treks by train, bus and dodgy small plane) that lasted seven months. Jane contends that the best soup she’s ever had was from an old woman selling soto ayam by the side of the tarmac in Ende, Indonesia. Recent trips to Iceland, Malibu, Telluride and Costa Rica only served to remind her that there are too many places left to visit. In her current incarnation as a Brooklyn-based writer, editor and co-chair of BK Swappers (a Brooklyn-based larder swap and social gathering) she thinks a lot about food, art, music and New York City.
