ITV's Downton Abbey catapulted Dan into the public eye for his portrayal as Matthew Crawley, more recently playing an editor for The Guardian in The Fifth Estate alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Julian Assange. A graduate in English Literature, the Cambridge alumnus first found a rare break in a busy schedule to review for us when he travelled to France with his wife and baby.
