For those of us that didn’t inherit an English country manor – but would rather like one – Thorpe Manor in Oxfordshire is now available to borrow. The palatial pile has had some serious remastering work done to bring her centuries-old façade up to date, and these days she’s looking as fabulous as ever thanks to a few licks of Farrow & Ball, a little expert restoration and a sprinkling of inspired interior design – even the sofas are in a so-now shade of living coral. There are a whopping 14 rooms, so grab your most fun friends, pack some wellies and get ready to taste the Great British high life.
