Mod-Balinese elegance

Private beachside estate

Set in the photoshop-perfect surrounds of the Paradise Beach estate on Nevis, this thatched-roof, Balinese-style Three-bedroom Ocean Villa ticks off everything on your romantic holiday-hideaway list: a private pool, secluded gardens and yes, you’ve guessed it, super-easy beach access. Light, bright interiors (thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass doors) and modern furnishings are a calming counterpart to the verdant, flower-packed gardens and sun-drenched terrace. When you’ve had your fill of swimming and sunbathing, take advantage of in-villa spa treatments, private chefs for hire and activity organisation.

  • On the ground floor, there’s an open-plan living room and kitchen with comfortable sofas, a dining table, a desk and a breakfast bar.
  • Kitchen appliances include a hob, oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.
  • Also on the ground floor is a small powder room and a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.
  • Though there’s no actual gym, there’s a small side room off the main living area with gym equipment including a TRX suspension system, yoga mat and dumbbells.

Villa highlights

  • Private saltwater pool
  • Secure gated estate

Sleeping arrangements

  • There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
  • The two ground floor bedrooms are master rooms: each has a king-size four-poster bed and outdoor access. One of the rooms also has a walk-in closet. Both have an ensuite bathroom with a bath tub, twin sinks, Hermès bath products, robes and slippers; one also has a walk-in shower.
  • The third bedroom, on the first floor, has a queen-size bed and floor-to-ceiling glass windows with views of the gardens. The ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower, twin sinks, Hermès bath products, robes and slippers.

Key kit

  • Free WiFi.
  • TVs and DVD player.
  • Computer station and office supplies.
  • Telephone.
  • Air-conditioning.
  • Ceiling fans.
  • Gas barbecue.
  • Baby cots and highchairs (on request).

  • The unheated, saltwater pool is surrounded by a deck dotted with sunloungers. The pool’s also lit up at night, for after-dark swims.

  • There’s space to park your car at the front of the villa.
  • To the rear, there’s a large terrace for sunbathing, the pool, a covered cabana, a barbecue and alfresco seating.

  • On Nevis, nothing’s further than a 30-minute drive from the villa. Paradise Beach is a 15-minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes by car from the capital, Charlestown.
  • To get to there, fly into St Kitts and take a water taxi or ferry across to Nevis, two miles away across the Narrows – a strait of water between the two islands. Alternatively, fly to one of the larger Caribbean Islands, such as Antigua. Here you’ll be able to fly to Nevis’ tiny airport, Vance W. Amory International.
  • There are local restaurants you can drive to, but the food truck serving traditional Nevisian cuisine opposite the estate comes highly recommended by the locals.
