Within the 500 acres of Lucknam Park’s glorious grounds, the Keeper’s Cottage lets you play lord of your very own mini manor. The cosy stone cottage has three bedrooms and a fully kitted-out country kitchen – but with a Michelin-starred restaurant a few steps away, no one’s judging if you don’t bother. Parents will be pleased to know that the Hideaway – the hotel’s activity centre – is next door to the cottage, and beyond that near-endless entertainment opportunities await (from dressing up and arts and crafts to an outdoor adventure playground and a ‘techno space’). In addition, the hotel can arrange pony rides, croquet, walking and running trails, tennis coaching and falconry. Other facilities include the spa, indoor pool, tennis courts, cookery school and football pitch.
