Our first port of call for a Cornish getaway, Marine Villa is a luxury three-bedroom house overlooking the Georgian harbour of Charlestown. With high ceilings and original features throughout, this elegant Grade II-listed villa is decorated with elegant antiques and custom pieces, handmade by owner David. An array of nautical curiosities can be found in each room: the swordfish bills above the wood-burning fireplace in the cosy living room are easy to spot, but you’ll need a keener eye to spot the sea-urchin topped sconces. Your hosts with the most, Antonia and David, will happily help in any way they can during your stay; pair Antonia’s home-made ready meals with one of the sommelier-selected wines in the kitchen and dine alfresco in the fragrant garden, and watch as the ships come sailing in.
