Old Walls
This self-contained cottage is set in seclusion on the edge of the estate, about a two-minute walk from the main hotel. This rustic, weathered-stone residence has a private garden with a furnished patio for alfresco dining, and an original well. The conservatory is set for dining in chillier weather too. Interiors are classic and cosy: the beamed living room is dressed in Persian rugs and plump couches, with a window nook and a wood-burning stove. There’s a full kitchen and the cottage is fully self-catered. The two bedrooms, in restful pastel hues, each have a double bed (one can be converted to twins); two extra beds (for children aged 12 and under) can be added to one of the bedroom’s sizeable landings too, and baby cots are available on request. The cottage has two bathrooms, and this is the only accommodation option for families staying with children (though there are age restrictions at the Meadow Spa and Ox Barn). There's also free WiFi, a Nespresso machine, tea facilities, a minibar, and bath products from Thyme's bespoke Bertioli range. One well-behaved dog is also welcome to stay in these cottages (£50 per night).
